When we first tossed around the idea of moving to Vancouver Island, it seemed impossible. Our lives were so deeply rooted in Vancouver. Our business was literally called VancityWild. (And still is 😂). But it was the pandemic, and having space and being closer to family felt more important than ever, and those things became our priorities. Now that we’ve been here for 3 years, this island feels more like home than anywhere. We *still* are amazed every time we get to the beach and we have the place to ourselves. How every time we arrive in Tofino the views take our breath away. How driving 15 minutes in any given direction gets us to parks, beaches, hikes and so much more. Vancouver will always have the most special place in our hearts (and ohhh do we miss it), but this is home - the place where we will raise our kids. Islanders through and through! 🫶💙

Don’t know what other parents are talking about, travelling with kids is so easy. Ha, just kidding! BUT, we do have a secret weapon to keep Ollie happy on flights…it’s an app called Pok Pok and we honestly cannot recommend it enough. Even if you’re hesitant about screen time, Pok Pok is different. It’s Montessori-inspired and designed to be calming, non-addictive, and low-stimulation. PLUS, it works offline so you can continue educational play in the air! New content gets added to the app regularly to keep kiddos engaged. Ollie absolutely LOVES it, and so do we!
