6 years of my life. Nourishing my 3 babies with everything I have. Why is it so hard to say goodbye to this chapter of motherhood?

I preface this with the fact that I feel unbelievably grateful that I was able to nurse all my kids for 2 years. I think every version of feeding your child is so valid and there is no one size fits all. I entered into this journey 8 years ago with a goal of nursing for 2 years, but with an open mind that things could pivot based on our needs. With Mae, my youngest, I made it to 22 months and I just couldn't do it anymore. My mental health was suffering, she hasn't slept through the night....ever....which means, neither have I. My body has been through the wringer and truthfully I probably should have stopped sooner. But here we are, at the end, and I am ok, but I am not ok. We can be both. After a couple rough days of transition for Mae she is sooo ready to move on with her life, as you can tell by the end of the reel. 😅

Whether you nursed, pumped, bottle fed, formula fed, or whatever combination worked for you and your family, your motherhood feeding journey forever changes you. ❤️

But for now, I'm going to feel all my emotions and feel excited for the future while mourning the end of this phase. 🤍🫶

One of the biggest struggles with e-bikes has always been figuring out how to actually take them with us. They’re HEAVY. 😅 The @Thule Vero has completely changed that for us. It can carry up to 80 lbs per bike (!!), and the tilting design means we can still access the back of the vehicle even when the bikes are loaded up.

Today’s adventure: biking along the Lochside Trail to Little Lochside Farm in Saanich to pick our own stunning bouquet of fall flowers. 🚲💐
