We still can’t believe it’s actually happening. B

We still can’t believe it’s actually happening.

Back in 2020, we made the decision to leave Vancouver for Vancouver Island, stepping away from the city we’d called home for over a decade, to build something slower and more intentional for our family.

When we moved, we knew one thing for sure: we didn’t want just any house. Not a fixer-upper. Not a cookie-cutter build. We wanted a forever home for our growing family, something unique and special and that truly felt like us.

So we found the perfect piece of land…and we got to work. For the last 5 years, we’ve worked tirelessly and poured everything into this dream. And today, we finally get to say it…we’ve designed our home, and we got our building permit! 🥳

We’re officially building our dream home on Vancouver Island!

One of the best parts of all of this is getting to share it with you. So many of you have been here for our engagement, our wedding, our move to Victoria, and the birth of our three kids…and now this. 🥹

“What kind of camera do you use?" 📸 Oh, so glad you asked! 😉 We’ve been a @canoncanada family since the very beginning of our content creation journey, and now as parents, we find ourselves putting our phones down and reaching for our Canon R50V. It lets us stay present in the moment while capturing life in a way that actually does it justice.

This day was one of those reminders. 🤍 A family adventure out to China Beach - hiking through an old growth forest, chasing waterfalls, and ending up on one of the most breathtaking stretches of coastline on Vancouver Island. I love how the Canon R50V was made with content creators in mind, but it's easy enough for a beginner to use. It's fantastic at capturing high quality images and videos, is equipped with both a vertical and horizontal tripod mount and when in movie mode, the on-screen menus automatically rotate based on the camera's orientation. If you want to level up your content but don't know where to start, start here! It couldn't be more perfect for documenting your family's everyday moments and memories...because these aren’t just clips. These are the moments that become your family’s forever story. #ad
