Springtime means frosty mornings, sunny afternoons, and the excitement that comes from planning warmer adventures. There is a buzz in the Vancouver air when the rain clouds start to lift from what feels like an eternal winter. To us, this soundtrack sums up that feeling you get when you hit the road on your first road trip of the year with your windows rolled down when you head out on your first hike up a dusty dirt trail (and not trudging through snow!) and that sunset that seems to last ten times longer now that it’s spring.

This playlist was inspired by our recent trip to Galiano Island when we first got a taste of what’s to come – bundled up in comfy sweaters in the morning, cozy in the cabin by the fire in the evening – but those glorious sunny afternoons on the patio overlooking the ocean were oh so warm! We stripped off our outer layers, put on tees and sunnies, watched sea lions cruise by, hummingbirds whizz past, and basked in the warmth as the sun touched our pasty winter skin. Is it just us, or does everyone’s mood seem to brighten as spring arrives? If you’re stuck in the office on a sunny day, throw on this playlist and remember, adventures are just around the corner.
